  • Admin Review: Oct 2014: Somerset pellets have always been on top of my list. I miss the days I could find these at the Lowes in Woburn for less than $200 / ton. Those days are over however the quality of these pellets live on. Great pellet and a very safe bet for this season. August - 2017 - Looking forward to burning some this year!! I always thought these were great pellets

Just tried a few bags of somerset pellets in a brand new Harman XXV while I wait for next years load to arrive. Given that I have no pre-conceived ideas they seemed to work great. When I was forced to switch to Inferno (a local brand) I quickly realised how good the somerset pellets were. No comparison, these somerset pellets win hands down. Big disappointment really because I would like to support a local product.

More heat than any other. Little to no sawdust. Wish I could find more. I'm unable to find anymore here in mid Missouri.

just finished about 2 tons of sommerset pellets and was very disappointed. for every 3rd or 4th bag i had to clean the fire pot out because it was full of unburned charcoal looking type of sand. which resulted in burning out my agitator motor. so the money that i saved bying your product cost me in the long run. it is unlikly that i will purchase it again.

I have used O.H.P. GREENWAY & some kind of generic pellet here at home. Somerset is by far the best pellets I ever used. More heat with less ash than the others. No clumps in the burn pot. Just good clean burn. Thanks guys for a great product..

Somerset pellets available in West Jefferson NC for about 225 a ton--I looked at 5 dealers and the Somerset pellet is by far the highest quality and best price. Great place to buy them while you visit the High Country.

I am considering the purchase of a pellet stove but I can’t find any information regarding how many pounds of pellets that it takes to heat a small home in S.E. Wisconsin. I realize that many factors come into play, severity of the weather, size of the area to be heated, etc.; but I’m just trying to get a “ball park” estimate of what it takes to heat a 1,000 square foot home, will I need a couple of hundred pounds or 20 tons of pellets – I have NO idea.
    Thank You

I just bought a dozen bags at Tractor Supply in Belleville IL. (Great store, BTW.) The test burn was great -- the smell was wonderful, the bag was clean-- no saw dust -- and I am looking forward to using them this winter.

We LOVE Somerset pellets, nothing better anywhere! Is ther any dealer now selling them in the Asheville NC area?
Unfortunately Tractor Supply switched to Greenway and all reviews of this brand are VERY bad
