Decent burning pellet but no heat output. looks like softwood majority and each pellet is about 1/2 inch in size.

January 3rd. 2011 -  Purchased another bag for testing at form the Seabrook Lowe's Today. Great heat and low ash output.  I am going to have to re-investigate this pellet and find out the lot number from the delivery that Lowe's just got.  The video below shows my stove on set as usual, "middle heat" I call it. I think this latest batch is putting out good heat.

Sept 2011 - This bag of pellets I burned this time were not as dense as the last bag I burned.  The smell of the pellets is pleasant and the ash level was low.  Heat was pretty good and seeing that they are being sold at many Lowes stores, the price is very good @ $197 / ton.

I've been burning these for two years (Enviro M55 Cast) and love them. However, I have noticed that some bags (darker green) have larger pellets, some bags (lighter green) have smaller pellets. I got 2 tons in Fall 10 and noticed this on second ton. 3 more tons in spring (great deal) and they have all been fine. For the price, they can't be beat, I think.

I have burned 4-5 tons of pellets per year since 06. I have a St Croix insert stove. Maine's Choice is probably the worst pellet that I ever used. Very poor heat output, a lot of fines in the bag, and unless it is on the highest heat setting, it will dirty up the glass. The ash is not excessive and not a lot of clinkers, but the overall quality is poor. I will not buy again, nor recommend.

We have the Englander 25-PDVC pellet stove and found these pellets to be okay but nothing great. In fact Pennington from Walmart did better with more heat and less ash. Though a co-worker has a different pellet stove where he runs either a blend or soft pellets and seems very happy with Maine's Choice. So it may all depend on the type of wood stove you have :)

I have a DC2000 made by Dell-Point Technologies, I have been burning pellets for 11 years. These pellets soot up the window and loads the fire pot with ash after 2 bags. (I will say I have not had any clinkers) It is bad enough that I need to clean the stove. I would typically clean after about a week with other brands. The fines are more in these bags than in others. Lesson learned for me, sorry to say but,I would not recommend these pellets to anyone.

Tried a few bags of these from Lowe's. Good heat, average ash, no clinkers. At $187 a ton it's a great price for a good product. I've burned the Cleanfire soft & harwood and the Maine's Choice has it hands down as far as bang for the buck.

Maybe it is the production run. I got 14 bags and so far the fines content is unacceptably high. These pellets caused the second auger jam in three years. The heat is good, ash typical of other pellets. But, they are not my choice and I would be very hesitant to buy them again.

Burned ten bags, good heat and clear out of burn pot ok. They do leave alot of ash but I did like this pellet. Paid 3.19 a bag, well worth it!

Not good maybe the three ton I got was over looked by quality control during the shift they were made. My CheapCharlie auger delivered about three table spoons of fines dust per eight or nine pellets into the burn box. I presift the sawdust fines out before filling the hopper and even then the fine sawdust clog the auger delivery and burn pot at about seven hours of burn.
I can burn my high priced brand for four tons with out ever comeing near the ash cake and clogging. Maybe I got into a bad run but I would empty a 40 pound untouched bag out on a four by eight table side by side with two other brands with what I have here and you would be shocked and count the loss and toss this batch into a ditch somewhere.I clean my stove daily always have and never had improper air, feed rate nor flew problems.

Great burning pellet, Very Hot Hardwood Blend, little ash, and no clinkers so far. They burn as well as Clean Fire Hardwood, with no noticible difference in ash.
and at $3.74 a bag at lowes, the price can't be beat.

Third year with a pellet stove first with Maines Choice. First few bags this season just to take the chill out of the house and the BTU's are great. I crank up the ceiling fan an the first floor is very comfortable. Very little ash per bag and no clinkers so far. I will be getting tese again next season.

I burned 3.5 tons 09-10 heating season. This was my 3rd season heating wiht pellets. The ash was a little larger but lofty and I had little in the way of clinkers.
The ash was less than other brands I have tryed and Cleaning was less work.
