Another pellet manufacturer to avoid because of too many fines is PA Pellet. The hardwood blend is good but the fines are a real issue. I have a Harman P61 for know my 14th year of burning pellets and i do consider myself a seasoned veteran burning pellets.
I'm having the same issues as Charles. Most of the time I have to light the pellets manually. I've never had that issue with any other type. With all the extra residue it has caused issues with my auger. Not happy and now stuck with 1+ Ton of junk.
Hello,
I have a Whitfield Advantage II pellet stove which I have for 19 years. It is professionally serviced yearly and I clean the stove on a weekly basis. I purchased, for the first time, four tons of Powerhouse pellets. I find that they create much more ash and residue as well than the prvious brands that I have bought. It took some readjusting of the combustion air and pellet feed to keep the fire from extinguishing. It seems that the pellets did not light as quickly. I still have the problem with the residue and ash which necessitates a two or three day cleaning cycle. I hope you do not find these comments "worthless" and if you can offer any suggestions please advise. Thank you.
