    Winter 2009

Top Notch Pellet. Probably one of the Best I have burned in a long time. The Somerset Pellets are one of my top 3 this year and most other pellets are hard pressed to even touch the Somersets in Quality. Barefoot is right up there with them. The LG's made the list because of the near nuclear heat they put out, however, lots of flyash. Somerset had practically 0% flyash and great heat output. (I'm not kidding about the flyash, I figure that I could probably have gone through 10 bags before even thinking about brushing the 2 cups of flyash the Lopi Leyden produces.)

    Winter 2010

Got my first bag again at Lowes in Woburn.  Only $187 / Ton!!! This pissin' contest between Lowe's and Home Depot is going to hurt the local mills who are trying to make a buck on a single product!  These pellets should and could be sold @ 265+ up here in New England all day long.  OK, I'm off my soapbox.

Love my Somerset pellets, best pellets I have ever burned, Low ash, low fines with high heat output, actually believe they made them better this year for 2011. In 2010 and 2009 had the low fuel trim set on the high side burning at a rate of 1.5 lbs per hour and this year have it set on the lowest rate which is .9 lbs per hour. Also had to increase the fresh air intake. If their not burning correctly, try adjusting your feed rate lower and give it more air. See if that works, took me about five bags to figure it out.

Two years ago, I found these pellets at Lowes ... bought 3 tons... and bought about 5 bags at a time when I happended to be at Lowes.

Last year .... couldn't find them. Somerset delivered to Lowes in NY but not here (Dedham, MA). I couldnt' find anyone that would deliver.

This year.. I'm looking for these pellets again .. I like them because because there aren't as much fines when you pour these pellets into the bin. The fines fly all over the place ... and a lot of wiping during the spring.

We used Somerset Pellets the first year of our pellet stove. Fantastic pellets. Have tried 6 different others since and each one is worse than the last. Really need to know where in central NY I can get Somerset pellets...plz.

Just tried a few bags of somerset pellets in a brand new Harman XXV while I wait for next years load to arrive. Given that I have no pre-conceived ideas they seemed to work great. When I was forced to switch to Inferno (a local brand) I quickly realised how good the somerset pellets were. No comparison, these somerset pellets win hands down. Big disappointment really because I would like to support a local product.

More heat than any other. Little to no sawdust. Wish I could find more. I'm unable to find anymore here in mid Missouri.

just finished about 2 tons of sommerset pellets and was very disappointed. for every 3rd or 4th bag i had to clean the fire pot out because it was full of unburned charcoal looking type of sand. which resulted in burning out my agitator motor. so the money that i saved bying your product cost me in the long run. it is unlikly that i will purchase it again.

I have used O.H.P. GREENWAY & some kind of generic pellet here at home. Somerset is by far the best pellets I ever used. More heat with less ash than the others. No clumps in the burn pot. Just good clean burn. Thanks guys for a great product..

Somerset pellets available in West Jefferson NC for about 225 a ton--I looked at 5 dealers and the Somerset pellet is by far the highest quality and best price. Great place to buy them while you visit the High Country.

I am considering the purchase of a pellet stove but I can’t find any information regarding how many pounds of pellets that it takes to heat a small home in S.E. Wisconsin. I realize that many factors come into play, severity of the weather, size of the area to be heated, etc.; but I’m just trying to get a “ball park” estimate of what it takes to heat a 1,000 square foot home, will I need a couple of hundred pounds or 20 tons of pellets – I have NO idea.
    Thank You

I just bought a dozen bags at Tractor Supply in Belleville IL. (Great store, BTW.) The test burn was great -- the smell was wonderful, the bag was clean-- no saw dust -- and I am looking forward to using them this winter.

Unfortunately Tractor Supply switched to Greenway and all reviews of this brand are VERY bad

I used Somerset pellets last year and loved them. I bought them at lowes and they tell me that they may not have them this year. Do you have anyone in or near NE PA that carries your pellets?
    Thanks, Bob Kimble

I have always loved the Somerset pellets. Opening a bag is even a pleasure because of the wonderful clean Maple or Oak smell. Like fresh cut boards. These pellets leave virtually no ash and put out a great heat. The pellets are extreamly dense and burn for a nice period of time. Just lay down a bag of Somerset wood pellets on the floor and lay down any other bag of pellets and you will notice the huge difference. Other pellets just have too much moisture (moisture increases profit margin for mills) and too much bark. Do yourself a favor and try out Somerset wood pellets. I give them a 5 star review! Keep up the good work and product.

We bought 17 bags of Somerset pellets to get us through the winter. We have used many different brands and Somerset by far burns the hottest

I used over a ton of Freedom Fuel Pellets this winter when I ran out. Bought 10 bags of Somerset Pellets. The Somerset pellets burn much hotter and leave less ash, and less smoke residue. They are the best!!!!!
