I'm using a 9 year old Quadrafire 1200i. Purchased 3 tons of Vermont Wood Pellets for this season and after 12 bags, have two issues: (1) The pellets do not burn hot, and the flame is more orange than yellow, despite adjustments to the stove. (2) the last 20% of pellets in the gravity hopper frequently fails to feed. The majority of the pellets are only 1/4" to 1/2" long instead of the typical 1/2" to 7/8" long. I believe that the short length is what causes them to "nest" above the auger and require a manual restart.
On the plus side: (1) The bags are unique and the best I've ever seen. (2) Tractor Supply sells pellets in the white bag which may be made by Vermont Wood Pellets. Excellent pellets, no issues with them.
