Pellets are all I use for heat. Greentree are the best to burn, I've tried all others I could find but they have high moisture so you have to continually knock em down, Thanks Greentree

1*. Just finished burning 25 bags purchased from Lowe's. By far the worst purchase yet. I have a Quadra fire and these pellets leave lots of clinkers in the burn pot. I have to scrape down the burnpot and clear all the air holes almost every other day otherwise we get the lazy flame creating soot and lack of heat. I wish Lowe's woud bring back the Sierra pellets.

Green Tree Pellets made in California and bought at Lowe's. What happened to quality control. I have purchased three pallets this year. Only one has has pellets of a good size 1/2 to 3/4 inches long and gave me no problem.. The other two pallets worth has pellets 2 to 2 1/4 inches long, which clog the pellet stoves feeding port. Also, these pellets are terrible for forming clinkers, which do not allow the stove to light.

The company is aware of these problems, but apparently cannot get things right. I will not buy these anymore. They are not good nor worth the money. Do not know why they are selling these knowing the problems???????

My neighbor and I will be returning about 1 and 1/2 pallets worth.

The pellets are being produced by a new plant in Capella, California.

GreenTree Wood Pellets are not fully cooked. They are full of moisture. They are gummy. Snap any pellet and it will snap. Snap one of these and it will crumble like cookie dough. These suck I will never buy them again.

We always burned bear mountain-great clean pellet, no issues. Lowes switched to green tree so we gave them a shot. Ran 2 bags through, it seemed ok so bought 3 tons. Getting into those the problems started-very dirty burn, leaves lots of ash and clunkers. Has a weird melted bandaid scent. And the worst? My 8 year old has had breathing problems since starting to burn the darn things-has been coughing/Got pneumonia. Lots of dr. Visits. Keep bringing up allergies. We finally put two and two together and switched back to bear mountain, his cough and crap is gone. We now have a ton of these things we can't use! Don't know what chemical substance they have but it's not ok.

We have an Enviro Mini and usually burn Golden Fire pellets which are excellent. Lowes started carrying GreenTree so we tried a couple of bags, and they have been awful. They produce much less heat for the same feed rate, they foul the glass immediately on any but the highest setting, and they often fail to ignite. I will avoid these second rate pellets from now on.

We have a Quadra Fire - Santa Fe model. We recently burned thru 6 bags of Greentree Wood Pellets. They have burned cleaner than anything else we have tried so far.
