Used Lignetics for a long time but the past two years the quality has declined tremendously. Have an Englander stove that is kept in immaculate condition and the Lignetics pellets (red, blue, or green inked bags) produce an excessive amount of ash
and clinkers. Switched to a better brand of pellets (Turman) and all is well. No more cleaning twice a day as with Lignetics.

I bought 5 tons of these(Lignetics Pres-to-Log) from Lowes. Excellent pre-season price of $3.50/ton. This is my second year heating with pellets, and I'll _NEVER_ buy this brand again. Daily cleanings of huge clinkers, and sooty glass. I put in the last bag today, and I'm so happy to see them gone. I'm burning them in a Pel-Pro hhpp32bd.

I put the Pres To Logs Brand of pellets on my NEVER BUY LIST. Purchased a ton @ Lowe's Cortland NY and had nothing but problems with them. I have noticed Lowe's Cortland hasn't had them in stock for some time...???? Couldn't wait till the ton was gone ! I had to clean unit every 3-4 days.

I went thru 4 tons of Lignetics this heating season in my Harmon P38 .
I`ll buy them again only if nothing else is available. Sorry for the negative reply but the extremely dusty pellets and the huge amount of ash content is a sin. I had to clean the stove and empty the ash pan twice as often as usual.

First time wood pellet stove owner in 2012-2013, Cozy Previa, Lignetic fuel works great in this stove tried one other fuel C&C Smith, The Wood pellet CO. and found Lignectic to preform better all around next fuel type Hamers, But as it stands now Lignetics at the top of the list. 1/22/13

I have a Quad a Fire pellet insert model 1100 I think Gold. I have used Lignetic Pellets and Presto Log pellets for over 20 years and they are by far the best ones on the market. Very little ash and burn hot. I also have a free standing Quad in my family room as the only source of heat. I aerage around 3/4 of a bag a day for both stoves for the burning season and I do not have to clean the stoves more than once a week even when it is very cold and burning a lot. I live in north central MT and it can get COLD

I was very happy with PresTolog at the start of the season. I told everyone how great they were. I could heat the house with a bag or less a day. They do put out a lot of heat so much so that on the highest setting for our stove they actually over heat the stove and it shuts down. My issue with them now is that the last half ton i have burned each bag has a tremendous amount of saw dust and very very small pellets. Some are less than 1/16th inch. They burn dirty and leave a build up in the burn pot. I have to clean the stove 1-2 times a now. The glass is just nasty within a few hours of burning. I am changing brangs. I wish the quality was what it was at the start of the heating season. At the begening of the heating season I could load up the stove and forget about it for 3-5 days before it needed a cleaning. I try to clean my stove out every 3-4 days and a major clean out every other week. With prestolog as they stand now I am at a major clean out every week or more.

We had Hamer pellets before we had Lignetics pellets. Hamer is by far a better pellet!! Very disappointed with Lignetics. It leaves more ash and more residue than Hamer did by far. Going back to Hamer. Can't wait till this stuff is gone.

I use a Eco-Aire Window Pellet Unit (USSC) - These pellets work, like Stove Chow - which is the benchmark by which I compare everything - these pellets perform about the same - same heat output and same ash build up, but I paid more money for them. I have to shut the stove down twice a day to empty my burn pot. Stays nice and warm in the house on the lowest stove setting even when down in the mid 20's outside.

Don't know why so many bad reviews. I feel like these pellets are middle of the road. Not as bad as infernos but not as good as turmans. The ash is not bad once a week give is the old quick clean. What also wasnt bad is the price 279.00 a ton

Very disappointed in these wood pellets. They do not start and when my stove finally gets them to start, my stove is mad at the time it takes and shuts down! I can not wait until they are gone and will NEVER buy them again!

We've been using a Whitfield WP-7 free-standing pellet stove for 8 years. Lignetics is the best pellet we've used. I only empty the ash drawer 3 times a season while burning 2 Tons. Stove is usually cleaned once a week to push ashes into drawer and clean the glass. Never have had clinkers with any kind of pellets, so clinkers could be a stove or air problem. Our pellets come in white bags with red & yellow printing, made in WV, and say 100% hardwood sawdust. No complaints here.

I bought a ton of Lignetics with the green label over a month or so ago and was extremely disappointed. The dust was so bad I had to use a mask when I poured them into the stove. The ash build up was worse than the dust. I normally clean my Enviro insert stove every three days. I had to clean it just about every day when burning the Lignetics. They did produce pretty good heat, but not worth the mess.,
I notified the company and they asked for the color of label. The e-mail said they would follow-up and get back to me. A month has gone by and I haven't heard a word. Not buying Lignetics and telling friends about my experience.

I have a harmen p68 pellet stove. I have been trying out various brands of pellets. Tried Stove Chow and thought it burned too quickly, the pellet sizes were small, the bag had lots of dust when pouring into the hopper and it created way too much ash. Tried Patriot brand and found the size and dust acceptable but they burned fast. Tried lignetics wood pellets (red bag) and found they have the largest size, burn hot but not too fast but create a lot of ash. These are just my observations. Still haven't figured out what too much ash build up in the pot actually is. Anyone?

Bought 10 bags of green printed Lignetics pellets last week for a test. Can't tell whether they're from this year or not; the only code I can find on the bag is 202 10 50. Anyway, they smell like 100% hardwood and burn the same way, with very little ash.

Winslow PS40, owners manual cleaning cycles followed except more frequently on the burn pot and ash drawer.

Purchased 3 tons of Presto Logs and can't wait until they are gone...worst pellet ever. Clinkers galore in an XXV and huge ash output. I would avoid if possible

I bought 3 tons of these pellets based on reviews I read. I will never buy these again! The saw dust in the bags was unreal and the clinkers are terrible. I have to clean the pot about every 3 bags, Im talking a solid 3/4inches of them.
I clean the entire stove weekly and I'll tell you its a mess. Im burning in QuadraFire Classic Bay 1200 insert.
I would like to here if anyone else is burning these and is having the same issues. Also any advise on what is a real good pellet in eth new england area.
      Thanks

This year, Lignetics is no longer 100% hardwood. It now contains cedar. And, while they tell you it's just a trace of cedar, that's far from the truth. The Lignetics that used to have green print was 100% hardwood. Now the blue printing has cedar in the mix. It birns qucker and produced a tremendouse amount of ash. I used to clean out my stove one per week with their 100% hardswood (no longer available). Now, I have to clean out my stove every 2 1/2 days. BUYER BEWARE!! This is not the Lignetics you used to buy. I've tried several different products over the years and easily conclude that the Lignetics with the bule printing is the worse products I've found so far. Don't say I didn't warn you!
