  • Admin Review: These pellets did alot better this year than they did last year for me.  I did wake up to a lazy flame so these pellets did have a bit of unburnable ash / clinker.  Keep the airflow high and you should be fine.  Nice Heat output for sure.

Worst wood pellets i ever burn in my harman. unbelievable amount of ash. And now i can see why you don't have a number on the bag for contact. I would rather talk to someone than what i am doing right now. I would like a phone call at 8605677778 to talk to someone in charge. Thank you Felix Esposito

Lopi Fox Fire. Cleaned my stove inside and out the chimney this season to start off. Picked up a ton of North American and have had no luck with them through the whole pallet. Even with the airstick 100% pulled these pellets are a tough burn, produce a lot of ash, along with a good amount of dark smoke. These pellets might burn at full feed for a few hours tops then I have to steadily decrease the feed to 3/4-1/2 by the time a day or two has passed. Expect to be cleaning the stove everyday or two if you can stretch it as I have been. Not happy at all with these pellets, my friend says I am married to this pellet stove because of these poor quality pellets. Anyone with tips on this model please contact @bennet6901@yahoo.com

Bought these at Home Depot for 209/ton. Using 2 St Croix stoves. Lots of ash and, clinkers (something St Croix stoves don't get). Heat output poor compared to New England Pellets, used 1 ton in 15 days. Overall, poor value, twice the stove maintenance.

These are the WORST pellets I've run through my Avalon Astoria. They fill up the ash bin every 2 bags, they complete black out the glass in half a bag, and they don't burn hot at all, stove discharge temperature is down noticeably (at least 20-30F) while running at feed rate 5/6 setting. Will never buy again.

Comparison is against all soft-wood Stove Chow that I had been using the last few tons. Stove Chow only needed to be cleaned out every 6 bags or so and burned so hot that on feed rate 3 you couldn't hold your hand in front of the exhaust for more than a few seconds.

Do not waste your money on these pellets, you have to clean the ash out every two days.

So far, my king 5500 likes these pellets best. I've burned insta heat(waste of money), agri-recycle(low btu, black soot), and now these north american pellets. These pellets do make a noticably more ash but much less uncombustibles/clinkers. My door glass has never stayed this clean for this long(3 days). Best part is that these pellets cost almost $.50 a bag less than the insta-heat or agri-recycle available locally(western n.y.). I purchase them at lowes@$4.18 /bag

We burn North American Pellets, we are very satisfied with them. I have a question, with all the bags we burn, are the bags themselves recycleable?

I bought 8 bags of these to try at the local Home Depot. After burning 3 bags and comparing heat output that I was getting with a couple of other brands, I'm not very impressed with them. I find them to burn inconsistently and as others state they are ashy. I will use the 5 bags I have left on warmer days.

Should have read the reviews on these pellets before I bought a ton of them.... so much ash!!! Decent heat but I have to clean out my stove every few days...and that's on low!! Now burning Dry Creek premium pellets and getting great heat and extremely low ash.

    This company is a Joke.
I have had 4 ruined bags of pellets this year in a weeks time "same batch" and when I called about the issue of pellets that couldnt be used I was told nothing they can do about it knowing its not their fault. Well, these pellets were sealed and never used in a ton container that was sealed but its not their fault.

Whatever , take responsibility of your products and dont blame anyone but yourselfs.

Of all the pellets I have burned in my Whitfield stove, these did the absolute worst. In my stove, they burned up way to fast, the stove would barely stay lit if left on the lowest setting. I actually had to adjust the fine adjustment for the pellet feed to get the flame to stay any decent size. I would not purchase these pellets again for my stove.

I have a new englander stove, and the pellets provide some decent heat but alot of unburnable pellets. I have to clean the stove every couple days I have 4 tons for the winter. it's gonna suck cleaning the stove twice a week with all that ash

I have now used 5 bags of these pellets in my Englander 25-pvdc stove and here are my observations: 1) $4.18 a bag at Lowes in Farmingdale, NY, 2) Average heat given off, 3) Very high ash content, 4) Auger squeels horribly. You can't even run your stove more than 18 hours before shutting down and cleaning. I am running my stove at the lowest setting (1,1). Found that Stove Chow and Timber Heat are better with slighter less maintenance and no auger noise.

I purchased some of these pellets from Home Depot this fall and I think they suck low heat and dirty burning. I'll never buy these again.

I am currently burning the North American pellets purchased at Lowe's. I am new this year to burning pellets, so I have only used this brand and the Fireside brand from Home Depot. Both cost $219 a ton. I have not tried any premium pellets yet, only the large store brands, so my experience is limited. However, I found that the North American brand creates a lot more ash than the Fireside brand - about twice as much. It does not produce as many clinkers, but I'm vacuuming every 3 days at a minimum when I run the stove on high. I am using a Heatilator Eco-Choice 35,000 BTU - a very small stove. I don't think I will purchase the North American brand again, based on the amount of cleaning required.

I have a quadratec fire Sante Fe 7 years old. I maintain and clean on a regular basis, I normaly clean it once a week, ie vacuum, brush and clean exaust pipes. With north American pellet I am cleaning every other day, along with scraping clinkers out with a putty knife. So far I've gone thru two and a half tons and have 15 gallons of ash and clinkers. It also smells like I'm burning newspaper.

Purchases at Lowes for $219.00 ton. Average heat. No clinkers. Lots of ash! Using in a Brickwell Big E stove. I can usually go 5 days befor cleaning. I can get only three days before ash is full. They burn well but produce to much ash. The green supreme were much better at Lowes.

Curran's in disguise don't be fooled,
    Bought 5 bags last fall.
Very heavy ash and low heat with chemical smell to them.
burnt one bag and returned 4

I have a 175,000 btu Maxim Central Boiler whole house unit. I purchased 10 tens of these pellets from Lowe's at
$197/ton. I've gone through 4 tons so far and only had about 40lbs. of ash. The heat i've gotten has been great and so far no real issue with klinkers

Have a quadrafire classic bay, about 12 years old. Burns fairly well, lasts longer than the Green Supreme but the amount of ash is ridiculous. We clean regularly and it just seems like so much more than any pellet we've burned yet.

Had a bag set off to the side of my stack of Maine Wood Pellets so I decided to give them a try. Burned pretty good in both my Quadra Fire Santa Fe and Castile models.Bowls were pretty clean. Not as good as the MWP but since the supply of those here in CT are sold out I would consider these. My stoves work better on the blends. Have not tried all softwood yet though.

We have Quadra Fire - Santa Fe model. The pellets are burning very hot. Our only issue is that we are cleaning the stove alot more often than we did with the Green Team Pellets. The North American Pellets are a good buy for the money however, next year, we will be looking to switch back to Green Team.

I have burned several bags of these in recent days. They are not the worst pellets I have burned, but they certainly are not as good as all-hardwood pellets such as Hardwood Heat or Lignetics.
