I bought 5 bags of the timber heat to burn in my Ecoteck Sofia, they put out good heat on standby. burn decently hot on power level 2, I didn't have to make any changes to the stove setting. Good burning pellet in my opinion, they do burn faster and hotter and faster than cheat river the other Lowes brand, which I would burn more in the spring. when I don't need the scorching heat. They both have their place and time.
I'm in Williamsport pa area and having a hard time finding these Timber heat Lowes has had them a few times but never know when or what they'll have.
These are a mixture of hard and soft wood. I have alot of problems with build up ect in my stove. Plus I am using more bags than ever using these. Im going back to Insta-heat hardwood pellets they burn hotter and longer. Less bags used at the end of the heating season with them. I will not use timberheat again.
I burned these in my Whitfield Advange II. Found them at Lowes. If your stove dislikes longer pellets, stay clear. There are many 1.5" to 2" pellets in the bag. My Whitfield doesn't mind. There are fines in the bag, but its not too bad. They burned ok, the flame hada nice look, but didn't seem to heat the house as well as other brands. Ash content seems low. I did have a buildup in the burn pot which I had to clear after a few hours of burning.
I burned these in October 1st burn of the season totally clean Harman Accentra FS.
My first thoughts were the pellets were small with lots of fines but they burned hot with low ash volume about a 5oz dixie cup. Trying them again this week in a clean stove. Second impression these were longer not as many fines burning hot with low ash volume. Bottom line good pellet at a fair price will buy again.
